Boost creep Questions
I searched this but can't come up with the answer I'm looking for so here I go.
Is boost creep a problem if you have some fuel mods? If so Why
Who much boost can factory apex seals hold?
If I would like to run between 10 and 15 psi what mods should I consider using?
I know some of these questions have been asked before I just couldn't find a complete answer to the questions I have. I appreciate your help on this matter.
Thanks,
JP

Boost creep is rising boost due to not enough exhaust bypassing the housing. Porting the factory wastegate to 35mm would be sufficient to run 14 - 15psi and as far as fuel mods I think a direct replacement competition fuel pump, 720's on the secondaries, and perhaps a SAFC will just about set you straight. As far as the apex seal's go, I am not sure, and perhaps someone else can fill you in.

THe factory 2mm Mazda seals are actually quite capable of taking approx. 20psi of boost, however that number is quite pointless considering the large variation in actual power put down by a small turbo at 20psi vs. a larger higer flowing turbo at 20psi.
