Boost creep on New turbo setup! a lil help please
hey Guys!! its been a while since i needed help, but here i am back on the greatest forum ever looking for some opinions... the new setup i am running on one of my t2's is a rebuilt s4 block, medium-large street port.. port matched intake manifold, NO emmissions, Garret t04e (60 series, 57mm cold side/P trim Hot side... 50mm Tial wastegate with a Wide open straight through dump pipe.. Megan Manifold with the runners extended by 2 inches so the turbo clears the intake manifold. and a 3" manderrel bent straight pipe turbo back.. (f'in LOUD AS HELL combined WITH THE WASTEGATE DUMPING THE ATMOSPHERe. Fd fuel pump 550 primaries and 1000cc rc secondaries.. waiting for my r-tek 2.1 atm.... the Car runs beautifully... ..... untill i hit 5200 rpms where i boost creep to like 16lbs of boost and need to eaze off the pedal!!!! 2nd gear makes it to 7k then 3rd and 4th haul TO MUCH *** lol... I have a 5lbs spring in my waste gaste, so creeping to 16psi is not what i expected!!!! is the Megan manifold honestly just that terrible of a design??? did extending it by 2 inches drastically change the flow or something???
p.s. Im only taking readings off an autometer air/fuel gauge taking the reading from the o2 sensor... wide band is in the mail.....
