Body work on FC3S to get rid of and prevent rust ?
Ok I have a gold n/a 87 rx7, it only has 113,000 miles on it but lookin at it you would think otherwise..keep in mind this is car from Rhode Island where it snows alot Ok, it has rust starting on the drivers side door and pretty much all around this area on the paint, bubbling up paint chipping off etc...and it has rust on the passenger side too but just not as bad but im sure it will be just as bad soon...
Anyway, the car has lots of surface rust underneath the car on the underbody especially where it has worn off (wheel wells parts of frame rails etc), there is also surface rust starting on the subframes , i can see it on the front but im not sure about the back im pretty sure it does too...along with all of the control arms/sway bars
Whats the best way to fix this problem ? i really dont want to get a paintjob on it if i cant prevent the rust from tearing apart the car in another 2 years, i just want a cheap easy fix for at least some of the stuff you cant see (subframe etc),
would i be able to just spray some of that underbody spray they sell in autozone , or am i just wasting my time to buy that ? i would think you could just spray it over the rust..or would you be better off trying to get all the rust out and then spray ?
here are some pics of the car

Grind off the rust and paint with POR-15. That will prevent future damage.
To fix it properly of course, you need to cut out the rusty section, and weld in virgin metal. Rust is cancer, and as such, the only cure is complete removal.
