BNR Stage 4 on an S4?

couldnt find anything in the search, but can anyone tell me if a BNR stage 4 turbo will work on an s4? if so, what (if any) additional parts are needed to hook it up?

If you want the s5 exhaust manifold, you'll need it, but if you use the existing S4 manifold, you don't need anything other than an intake that will mate with the compressor housing.

any advantages of using the s5 mani over the s4? curious because ill likely be swapping in a new s5 motor. also if i run 720cc primaries and 1300cc secondaries with a walbro pump and FPR, what kind of boost will i be looking at and will that require using a standalone ecu such as the microtech or haltech, or will a piggyback such as the hks or apex'i s-afc's be sufficient?

s5 manifold is fully divided, for quicker spool, yes it is a benefit.

and with a stage 4 yuo probally should be getting a standalone.

I have read the safc increases timing one degree per 10% of negative adjustment. tuning down that injector combo on the low map would make for all kinds of timing advance. Would have to do the math... but i doubt the safc can even take enough % off to get you back to stock levels for normal driving and idle.

With that much turbo madness bolted on to your engine stand alone is just about the only option. The stock boost sensor is only good to one bar... and why get that big of a turbo only to run 13psi. will it even be close enough to its range to make good power at 13psi?

probably not.

rather; it will flow a good bit of air but it's more efficient with more boost.

I wasnt aware that the Safc did anything to the timing.

well its not really the safc doing it.... but when the ecu is lied to it adjusts the fuel and timing maps to match the amount of air it is told its getting...

The safc is not directly doing it... but it is happening, the ecu is doing it cuz the safc told it to in a round about way.

i mean if your only planning to run 13 to 13.5 psi tops then get a smaller turbo that has a sweet spot closer to 14psi and still make goood power. no?

that was my planning, thats why the stage 2 looks good to me.

13psi.........stock 13bt housings will only safely handle 15psi without dowel pinning the motor...get a stand alone for sure......question why are HKS-FCON's so damn expensive at mazdatrix? 1200? You can get an LT-8 for nearly 300 less!

How do you figure that? there are a bunch of people running more than 13psi on a stock dowelled engine and making 400rwhp reliably. What basis are you basing that comment on?
