But even more so because of the oil injection and even more if you have the oil pellet mod.
Why is that anyways? I know the pressure is higher, but if all the seals in the engine are good internally, it shouldn't burn it away, should it?

With the solid pellet, there is no variation to the oil flow. It's on "full" all the time. On a stock pellet, it's open just enough to get the oil to the bearings and as it warms up it allows more oil flow to the rotors. When this happens, there's full oil pressure to the rotors and it's why it smokes more on start up but clears a few seconds later when everything warms up. My car does gives off a slight more puff of smoke due to the pre mix and no OMP when engine is cold.

The reason most rotaries emit a puff of oil smoke is simple:

Since there is always oil at the rotor bearing and inside the rotor, it just seeps past the o-rings when the rotors become stationary after the engine is shut off. Piston engines don't do this, because all the oil around the piston rings and valves drains back into the crankcase via gravity. In the rotary, gravity pulls the oil into the working chamber. No big deal.

If my car was massively flooded and it spewed out white smoke for a while when i got it started, does that mean something's wrong? Thats the first time it has ever spewed out any white smoke and hasn't done it since...

Unhappy billowing white smoke from tailpipes

Hi,

Maybe someone can give me some advice/input.

I have a 86 Mazda RX7 and this is what I was told about it - A new engine with 30K miles was dropped in it and the exhaust from the firewall back was replaced. I got this car for $500 cause a friend needed a loan and I took this a collateral. I now want to give it to my 17 yr old son and need to decide whether I should just get rid of it and get him something else or if this car is fixable without spending a fortune.

The car turns over no problem - sounds fine - BUT a few minutes after its been on white smoke billows from both tailpipes. The temperature gauge doesn't go up though.

Input anyone please

Thank you
