blue smoke from exhaust strange

ok so i started up my car this morning and my car was smoking from the rear. This is not uncommon to me because it was cold this morning and the car wasnt warmed up yet. However i happen to look behind it and one side of the exhaust was smoking bluish smoke and the other side grey smoke. The car seemed to be running ok despite the smoke so i went ahead and drove it to work. When i arrived at work it was no longer smoking at all. Normally the car never smokes except right at first when its cold outside. My exhaust has no catalysts anymore so i know its normal for thier to be smoke when its cold but im not sure about blue smoke. Funny thing is no smoke once the car is warm. Now whats really strange is that it only smokes blue from one side of the exhaust and my exhaust system goes from a performance header to a single pipe no catalysts then back out to duals, so it all collects together at one point, until right before the mufflers where it y-pipes out, anyone have any ideas why this would happen???
