my knowledge on the TII's are extremely limited, but I thought the twin scroll was vacuum actuated?

Yes it is, but it works with a solenoid and the ECU I believe to kick it open at 2800. I've also learned after searching a bit, default / not hooked up it goes open position & you'll lose some low end, which I feel like I need bad. Up top feels excellent.

Probably the most simplistic way is the find an RPM switch from summit or Jegs.

You could also convert to s5 exhaust manifold and turbo, which is fully twin scroll and spools quickly without tricks.
