Blocking off the ACV???

Hey guys I have been cruising the forum and coming up on many people who have blocked off there ACV with a plate, either homemade or from mazdatrix or some other vendor. What is the gain or point of doing this and how does it affect drivability (like in winter or summer etc) does it really help performance?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Jon

maybe he should do a search for how to use the search feature

rx7club.com is a wealth of information but i am amazed that people even bother asking questions on here as most times it is answered with go search

jonm16 i'm curious on the answer for this one as well as i was thinking of doing it on mine as i heard it will help the whole flamethrower aspect

hey if you find any good links on the acv being blocked off post them here if you don't mind

There is a very good write up on www.1300cc.com that I just got done reading. Worth looking at IMO.....hope that helps.....Oh yea I think mainly it is a space/easy of working on mod. I don't think there is much gain from one.

Once you remove your emissions (Cat, airpump, etc..) The ACV becomes worthless. ITs much better removed and sold to someone that needs it.
