Blitz Rhino Ramps 8000

After searching the entire forum for references to the subject ramps, I can't believe they are mentioned in only 5 threads (and mostly mentioned briefly in rather obscure threads). If you don't know this already, these ramps are the greatest thing since sliced bread!

I was checking out a BMW forum to find out how to maintain my newly acquired 3 Series coupe. I immediatley found several references to the "Rhino ramps" and continued to find references to them throughout my search.

Bought a pair of the ramps at Auto Zone for $19.99 (although I thought the price on the sign said $29.99). Anyway, they have a "17 degree incline perfect for low clearance vehicles". They are ideal for FC owners for changing oil or for lifting up a 7 enough to get a floor jack in position to jack up the car at a cross member or the differential for easy placement of jack stands beneath the rocker panel. The ramps are lightweight, compact and economical.

I hope this info is helpful to someone. I have gotten so much invaluable information from the forum that I have always hoped to be able to return the favor!

Yeah when i first got my car like 2 years ago I used nothing but ramps, then one day I tried to drive the car up the ramps by myself and I drove over one of them. No ramps for me ever again.

Nice thing about Rhino ramps is the height of the "lip" at the end of the ramp. It is pretty high and the wheel sits low in the ramp. I can understand your apprehension - I once drove past the end of a ramp on a car dolly with my first FC. Did that every require an engineering feat to get the car off the dolly! I don't think I am capable of driving over the Rhino ramp, though anything is possible! Using ramps is just so much easier than the alternative as long as you don't drive over them!

i have posted pics of my rhino ramp setup, i combined them with the ultraramp's extensions so i could get my FD up on to them with out scraping (my fd was abotu 4-5 inches off the ground). in anycase, i used the ultra ramps i have for the fc i just got and managed to somehow drive over them/the end haha

i did not really care though and though it was pretty funny. in anycase, the ultraramps will scrape the crap out of the front of a stock fc... oh well

my buddy dented the crap out of my ramps with his accord by driving completely over them...i really don't understand whats so hard about getting the car onto them though. i've used ramps quite a bit and never driven off them. make sure everythigns lined up right and nothing is moving, when in doubt check again. add liberal use of the e-brake.

Maybe BMW enthusiasts wait until they are done with business before they partake. Does that seem worth the trouble?

*a* jones - sure would like a close-up!

I use the same ramps, they're great. But if I ever get a front lip I don't think the 7 will fit on those either.
