Blitz Boost Controller?

I'm not sure I'm going to get any help but what the heck huh? I just installed a Blitz SBC-ID II Boost Controller. I would have to say that the closest thing I have felt from a power upgrade to this was when I initially installed the RB exhaust. The boost comes on like a shot. Initially it came on so fast I had to get out of it. (Scared the crap out of me ) So I give it a big plug but what I am looking for is anyone that might have some experience with it to share with me.

Initially I set the controller for Auto following the instructions. I set the boost at or around 12 psi or so I thought. I set the alert to 14 and shut down to 7. Now I want you all to understand that the terms I am using are vague at best because I am new to this device. In auto mode it did not do anything out of the ordianary. It came on boost a little faster but no higher then what I had been getting. At around 8.6psi.

I then set the controller to manual mode and that was all she said. DAMMMMMM. Boost came on fast and peaked about 11.5 which I felt comfortable with. The only downside on the freeway in the higher gears it was trying to overboost or spike and the controller would bring it back down almost like a SEE SAW. I was making sure I did not get to deep into the pedal so as not to run into this.

Now I would assume that the controller would take it up to the assigned boost and at that point let it go to the waistgate instead of modulating the boost. I'm sure I have something set wrong I am just not sure.

Input would be welcome from people that have the Blitz controller or experience with it.

there is a gain setting in the controller for different wastegates. make sure it is set for the correct gate.
