Question blinker doesn't go off by itself after steering wheel removal

ok, i took apart all of my dash and what-not, and then i put my steering wheel back on and everything was fine except that when you put the blinker on and after you turn, it won't go off by itself anymore. i have to manually turn it off. what did i not connect or hook up behind or inside the steering wheel for this to happen...

Its possible that you could have broken your turn signal assembly. Thats usually the culprit for your turn signals not working properly.

well it works fine, it just won't go off by itself anymmore and i didn't touch it at all, i think its in the steering wheel, something i didn't hook up so it will click off when i spin the wheel back

You didn't align the steering wheel correctly or damaged the position sensor when you installed the wheel back on.

There is a wheel position sensor mounted on the column that the power steering computer and CPU uses to detect wheel angle. The CPU uses it also to send a signal to cancel the turn signal when you turn the wheel far enough and then back.

Just pop the wheel off and re-align it. You should see the switch once the wheel is removed. It has a small white tap sticking up.
