ehhh... red, white and silver RX7s seem to look better with body color mouldings. darker colors like midnight blue, jade green, charcoal etc... look better with black mouldings.

To me, since this is a S4 VERT, the black molding follows the rest of the car with the top being black as well as the tailights. On a coupe I prefer the same color as the car. Why? Because I have a red S4 Vert and a red S5 Coupe. To the OP, do what ya want it's your car!!
Yeah, agreed this is totally a matter of personal taste. But I prefer leaving them black because you're not going to make the car look modern just by painting them. It's a 20+ year old design, and that's cool. Embrace the old school.

only paint the side mouldings if you have the EXACT same color. do not just go to walmart and buy a can of 96 cent generic gloss white... look up your color at an auto store like NAPA or autozone etc. duplicolor is about the closest ive found to stock.
keep the trim on the car! ive seen too many hondas driving around with spray paint trim missing a couple pieces because they did not glue it on right. maske off the body at least 10 inches above and underneath the trim., sand the trim lightly, rub down with rubbing alcohol, spray a thin coat of gray primer, spray a thin coat of white, then spray an average coat of white. allow to dry, remove masking and BAM...
