I was driving on route 1 in NJ the night before last, and when I would hit the brakes, the headlights would dim (a little bit is normal, but this looked like more than usual) and the radio would turn off and then back on. At one point when I stopped, the whole fkn car turned off. The engine died, (and no I didn't stall it, I was out of gear) all the lights and radio shut off, and then the alarm went off (which it will do if you disconnect power and reconnect it) I clicked my keychain clicker to kill the alarm, then shot a confused shrug at the girls in the car next to mine who were staring, and then started up and drove the rest of the way with the radio off. When I drove back home the next day, I tried the radio again and didn't have any problems. But what the hell happened? The battery is relocated, btw, in the passenger side rear bin with some huge 1-gauge cables to connect it. Maybe something is a little loose in there and not making good contact? I thought maybe a brake light burned out causing a short, but I checked the tail lights and they're all fine.

Any ideas?
