bigger battery better?

I've got an AC Delco in my car that works fine right now, no problems, but a buddy of mine gave me a bigger AC Delco w/ more cold cranking amps, it's been used around the same amount of time. I was going to switch it, but it's pretty big and barely fits into the battery box. Is it worth switching?

What difference is there from a battery with more cold cranking amps and cranking amps?

thanks in advance

Will I lose that much power when it's colder? I thought it would just give more power when i'm cranking my car?

If you don't have a problem in the winter, then there's no reason to switch. It's for us poor bastards who have to go start our cars at -30 degrees
