a big thanks to all the members who have posted up issues with their cars here. those members i have purchase some parts from. also those who continue to help others solve their issues. i've finally got my fc3s s5 running. its been a long project to get it this far but so far seems worth it once i get the last few bugs out. which just seems to be a tps adjustment and a back up light switch change.

rather than make lots of post about most of the issues i had i did use the search function which there is a lot to go through but was able to find answers.

last issue to get it going was that it would not shift into gear while running. i purchased the car with a brand new clutch and flywheel installed prior. i had found a post that said put it in gear and start the car keep the pedal pushed in sure enough it worked. car shifts fine now. most likely the disc was just frozen from sitting.

some tools that seem to be a big help are a tap and die set as well as a thread repair kit. don't know how many times we used these on this car. as well as this forum. i also made good use of the online factory repair manual.
