I'm selling my Rx7 & posted it on Auto Trader.com,
i have 2 people who claim that they are car agent & one of them clearly say's that they are represent a client from Africa that is very interested in buying my car. i E-mailed them for more info & they wrote back & this is what they told me: my commission as a car agent and the shippers fees for organising a home pick up service fromyour base down to Africa its new origin.You did not need to worry as my shipping company will come to pick the car up from your base for shippment to Cotonou ?Benin Republic in Africa .The reason for this shippment method is as a result of the age difference of the car whcich does not make it directly shippable into Nigeria where the car will be shipped to .
What i want to clarify is that will you be able to send the shipping charges that i will pay to my shipping company and my commision back to me through western union money transfer method as soon as the check clears and you deduct the money for the sales of your car?
what steps should i take to make this go right & prevent from being a scam? thanx for your advice.

Walk away buddy. Sounds like fraud to me.

 

I agree, way too shady, and I wouldn't try to deal with shipping across any ponds anytime soon unless you have a person pay and pick it up at your house.

 

It's a known scam. Check snopes or someplace online for the details.
