Big Problem

the other day, i went out to my car and started it up. after it started, i heard soft knocking noises from the engine. i reved it a little, and it got louder. i also discovered that there was very little compression, and it took alot more throttle to rev at all. after doing that i looked behind me and saw a huge cloud of smoke. what does this mean?

Since you checked the compression, what are the results for both front & rear?

Does this noise surface when you disengage the clutch?

What color of huge cloud of smoke?

i acually ddint check the compression, that was an assumption made by what i observed. the smoke was a little blue at first but otherwise normal colored. the noise is not affected by clutch position.
