The Big Bolt Size (And Pitch) Thread List Here

Ok... Seriously, We've all (or at least I have) Run into so many lost bolts, that I thought it might be helpful to create a thread that can be used as a resource to finding pitch threads quickly (if anyone has ever had to look them up).

Guys in?

I'll start off with something trivial:

Steering column knucles: Cotter M8x1.25

Wheel Studs: M12x1.50

S4 (S5?) N/A Exhaust Manifold: M10x1.25

Engine/Tranny (all but one): M14x1.25 [varying lengths]

P/S Rack Lines (two): M12x1.25
P/S Rack Lines (third, some models): M16x1.50 [impossible to find]

Oil Injectors (N/A): M10x1.00
Oil Injectors (TII): M10x1.25

S4 Shifter: M12x1.25
S5 Shifter: M10x1.25

Tie Rod Ends: M12x1.25

Brake caliper bleeders are 8m1. and 7m1 respectively. Also that clutch slaves are 8m1 or 7m1 depending on model.
N/A pilot bearing seal pn: 1881-11-404A (not sure if thats the universal mazda number though)

HA HA - I know what you mean.

I bag & tag everything, but still manage to loose bolts.

Best advice is not only to bag & tag as you pull stuff off the car, but pickup a thread measuring gauge (see pic below) and list the fastener/bolt specs in a chart like:

Front A arm mounting bolts: Qnty 2 - M10 x 14mm head, 18cm length, .25 pitch, - "8" strength stamped on top, built in washer

Engine/Tranny (all but one): M14x1.25 [varying lengths]
hmmm, I believe the pitch is right but the diameterr should be 10mm (at least on my S5 N/A)

IS this a challange

How about the lower bolt on the starter, not the long one that goes throught the top.

This is for an S5 (Maybe S4 is the same?).

Some good info on here. I vote that after this thread has been filled with every single bolt/thread size we get a compilation and archive. I've found bolts on the ground and didn't know what they were from... good job me .

The studs for the turbine housing to downpipe connection on an S5 turbo are M10x1.5 thread on both sides. The stud is 53mm long with a 10mm threaded end
for the housing side and an 18mm threaded end of the downpipe side.

Is this the bolts that attach it to the block or the ones that connect to the precat/midpipe?

I need the size and pitch of the bolts that connect the manifold to the precat (S5), because one of mine got stript...=noisy leak.

any info?

Derangedhermit - I believe that they're referring to the shifter's **** threads, not the fit into the trans. S4 and S5 **** threads are different.

Anyone know the size of the bolts that hold the seats onto the seat rails. (Not the ones that bolt to the floor, but the actualy seat rails) And the bolt that holds the handle on from the inside of the door? I know there are a long shot. Thanks

Can someone tell me the size/thread for the nuts that go on the stock TII spoiler?
The sides use the normal 10mm nut everything else has, but the pedestals are bigger.
I need to know the size for the pedestals.

My spoiler was broken and not on the car when I got it.
