Better Looking Front Bumper, S4 or S5!

Hey guys.

Just in opinion, what Series has the best looking front bumper.

I own a 90 and a 88, and I love my 88 bumper 100x more than the S5. Just wondering if it's me.

Remember, stock, S5 with a feed lip don't count

your a rare breed. Not many people like the s4 more. I converted my whole car to s5, so I think you can figure out what I like more.

Why? I'm just curious, because you are a very rare breed.

S5. But if I painted all that black trim around my car (I have an S4), then I may possibly think differently.

Hey Jason

No it's not just you! I prefer my S4 front over the S5.

I had the option to change everything (front and rear bumper) quite a few years ago but decided to stick with the S4 look. (With the exception of mirrors, and taillights).

It was a tough decision but after a lot of comparing, the S4 front was my choice and I will never change it.

I know we are definitely a rare breed.
Must be the B.C. air!

The S5 would have been better if the stuck with the sticker, instead of the embossed Mazda.

That's the biggest problem with the S5 front bumper, that damm embossed Mazda on it.

The s5 rx7's look a whole lot better to me. The only reason i dident get a s5 is because i couldent find one!

The black gasket surrounding the S4 front makes the nose look tacked on, in my opinion. According to the Yamaguchi book on the FC3S, this was because the S4 was Mazda's first attempt at a soft plastic bumper cover and the gasket allowed for expansion and contraction as a result of outside temperature or engine heat.

The flush fit of the S5 nose looks much more modern.

the S5 Pwns You all... the recessed center section gives more definition in the front, draws you in... it almost gives the illusion that the outer portions stick OUT... to scrape the air off the road and produce more downforce.

On the S4 the black grommet/gasket dealy detracts from the uniformness of the car, just like the black rub strips.. Teh Gay.

however, im actually w/ Mark on this one: the Embossed Mazda on the front bumper is Teh Suxor. i have half a mind to shave it off...and i could to. but its a GTUs. im really hesitant to alter ANYTHING on that car. I have a feeling it could be a collectors item some day, or something to that effect. its hard to say if it will, but w/ fewer total production numbers than the 10AE, its GOTTA be a shoo-in.... right? .......... Right?.............. guys?

Yes, but make sure you have the turn signal lenses. Plus the body moldings don't match too well.

I think a S5 bumper without a lip (such as the stock S5 T2 lip) looks really bad. I much prefer my S4 bumper....although I actually like the black side mouldings of the S4 also..so I guess Im just a weirdo

There should be a third "No Preference" option.

I really don't care either way.

I've had both and prefer the S5. Would prefer my S5 even more if I had the damned lip!

I think the S5 bumper below the trim looks like ***. The grill isn't round and doesn't have the curves of the S4. The brake ducts on the S4 look better than Fogs.

Dunno the S5's just have such sharp edges to them compared to the S4's curves.

I prefer S5. I don't really like the teeth look of the grill on S4 front. Plus, like others said, S5 is more modern looking and also looks more clean
