...94% correct.
The best sounding exhaust is the stock one. Two-rotor engines couldn't sound "good" if a symphony of angels played from the exhaust ports.
I used to sport Racing Beat headers and straight pipes, though.

i had racing beat true dual header, straight pipes to two magnaflows.
It sounded gnarly, but was retartedly loud. Earplugs where my friend :P

From far away sounded like a forestry crew was at work.

I've got Racing Beat N/A exhaust (Manufactured in '07 or '08) from the engine all the way back. I think I used to enjoy it more than I do now.. It's not terribly loud if you've got every last ounce of insulation and sound deadening that came as standard on the GXL, but in this particular car with all of that **** long gone (even the tar **** on the floor pans is gone...), it all sounds a bit... well... It's just no longer as pleasant.
However, when you're screamin' at 6,500rpm it's deafening but oh so sexy.
Overpriced? Sure. But it'll last forever..

A few weeks ago i put on a RB Roadrace header, presilencer, and some A-Spec 2.25" mufflers. Exhaust note is awesome, but the thing is just too loud. My car isn't as gutted as Acesangul, and the drone outta this setup when you're just daily driving is unbearable. Been looking around at baffle inserts, hoping that will knock enough dB off it to make it a daily driver again and not a cop magnet.
I do gotta say though, ripping up roads at +7k does sound burly as hell.

rb headers, bonez highflow cat, apex dual n1's. so sick, however, police are your new best friends. i had that setup on my old 86, super bass at idle, shook the core of your body. ill never go that loud ever again unless i can get away with it, which will be never....
