Question Best product to clean injectors ??

What's a really good product to clean the injectors with that can be added to the fuel tank? Wynn's injector cleaner or similar ?
Preferably something available worldwide or in Australia...!

Wink

There is this Engine Cleaner stuff from RedEx (the guys who also produce the Octane Booster). Dont know if it works as it should, but in my previous car (Honda Civic ESi) it sure made the inside of the engine a lot shinnier...

I use the techron stuff from chevron every 3000 miles or so. Mix a full bottle with about 6 or 7 gallons of gasoline, and run it pretty hard until the tanks low again.
Some might tell you the only way to get clean injectors is to take them out and have them sonic cleaned and balanced or some ****; that might be a little better but is it worth over $100 and having your car down for days?
Good preventive maintenance; obviously, change your fuel filter and never let the gas guage sink too low, you will start picking up all the crap on the bottom of the tank.

The only thing that I have read on the subject is from http://www.atkinsrotary.com/aviation.htm Use the BG 44k fuel injection cleaner every 4-6 months (more if all city driving or just short distances- less if mostly freeway miles) Found at the Dealer or they can ship it to you.

Don't laugh but I have found that Marvel's Mystery to be a fantastic product. I use it in gas and oil periodically. It works better than transmission fluid for loosening up seals. I would not be without it in my shop.
I also put it in any engine I have that is not going to be running for and extended period of time.

Better than all is to pull your injectors and send to RC Engineering for back flushing and tuning.

I was amazed at the differnece in performance in my Vert and '85 SE when i did that.
