best price for an SX FPR?
best price for an SX FPR?
I am leaning towards ditching my pulsation damper and going with an SX FPR since I have quite a bit of money into my car now(would kill myself if it caught fire). All the fuel lines and everything just about is going to be braided SS so no cracking to worry about. I just wanted to know what all is needed to use an aftermarket FPR(does it screw right in the fuel rail or do I need a copper fitting and which one). What thread size is the PD so I can get a banjo bolt from the store? Would it be better to put the FPR where the PD was or where the stock FPR is? Thanks for the help. I searched and found the XS FPR will work fine for me but thats about it.
Wow, you got some serious help from your rotary brothers on this one, huh?
I'm searching for where to get a stock PD without having to go to a (evil) dealership parts department . . .
Yeah, I'm searching, with the search function. It's at the bottom of the screen. It's really neat.

I'm on the fence about the banjo bolt vs. pulsation damper. I've read the testimonials of people who have removed them, installed a banjo bolt and had no problems, but the engineer in me wants to keep a PD on the primary fuel rail for two reasons:
1. Every fuel injected car I have ever seen has had a PD on its fuel rail . .
2. Every fuel injected car is designed, tested, and proven by real engineers before it gets manufactured.
So I'm kind of trying to not experiment with something I don't have to experiment with, and just find a new PD to replace the old. It would be less likely to leak than the 15+ year old one that is on my car now.

But for real, I'm pulling mine out to put in a banjo bolt. I bought this bitch for like $150 I think like 8 months ago and now a $7 part is replacing it, lol.
