Best NA exhaust?

What do you guys think the best NA exhaust is? By "best", I mean most power, best price, etc etc.

Do you care about sound? Some offer more high end and less low end. You need to be more specific. What is your application going to be for?

My application is autocrossing, drifting, and kicking ricer *** with an '88 GXL (with a bunch of weight removed, of course).

I was wondering how the A'pex N1 is.

sorry about highjacking your thread SaturnHKS. I have the same question about my 1987 GXL. What is the best exhuast that will meet most noise limit and give the most power.

Well there are many components of an exhaust system. I think the most gains would be from getting rid of the stock header. I would go for a racing beat header since the stock one is the most restricting part of the exhaust IMO. Changing just the catback will only provide minimum gains when the real bottleneck is everything in front of the catback. I personally dont have any experience with headers on an NA and only had stock exhaust when I had my NA.

I run a RB header, Bonez Cat with a single Apexi N1, it seems to work fine, makes good power , but it is very loud with the tip out.

best exhaust with best power for the price is just headers, opening at the side of the car. unfortunately this is not smog legal, and would be loud as hell. there should be a counter for how many threads like this have been started. Use the search button, it will help out alot.
