Best method to safely remove overspray on engine plates?
I picked up some plates recently that have heavy overspray on them. I've been using gas and a rag to lil avail. What can I do to speed this up safely? Thanks

Lacquer thinner works great just don't breath the fumes you might forget what you are doing

Even Brake Cleaner will take paint off... I accidentally wiped most of the E off of a 22RE's sticker when I was cleaning up my sister's engine.

ON the compression surface? Razor blade.

On the outside? Acetone or brake cleaner, then pressure wash.
