Best FC Spoiler?
Best FC Spoiler?
I started another thread with a pic of a Supra-style spoiler for the FC, which a LOT of people hate. So I'm wondering:
What kind of spoiler do you all like best for the FC hatchback? I just want moderate downforce, and something that doesn't look rediculous. Thoughts? Opinions? Should I die for putting up the pic of the Supra-esque spoiler?
Oh, and here's a pic of the Supra-style spoiler http://www.wingswest.com/products_de...page=1&id=1337

Only ridiculously big wings provide any ACTUAL downforce below very high (very illegal felony) speeds. Nothing you'd put on a street car.
Get a wing you like looks-wise and be done with it I think

humm I'm not sure if any of the aftermarket spoilers for the fc will actually give u any added downforce...
I like mine almost everyone else does not but I dont care. and I kind of like the supra wing to its just to tall. if the wing is thin and dont have a real face on it to catch the air then it will apply no downforce

Ridiculously big wings provide downforce at low speeds, with the penalty of extreme drag at high speeds. Look at some of the champion FD's in ProSolo. They have the biggest wings I've ever seen.
Smaller, or normal sized GT Wings give little downforce at low speeds, but suffer less drag comparatively. They provide the best grip/drag tradeoff at moderate speeds.
Small spoilers don't really give much downforce, but also don't have much of a drag penalty either.

well you have to consider that the air at this point of the car is flowing downwards.
So already an horizontal plane could produce a little downforce,
and actually might improve drag because the air flow behind the car may become
less turbulent
I for myself like this one:

I am sorry..... no....
geebus that thing is freakin huge. Ugly....
Stock spoiler cant be beaten. Not having a spoiler is too plain and throws off the body lines. Big supra style or aluminum wings just look like ***, maybe a civic would be more suited for such a retarded wing/spoiler. STOCK FTW!
it looks like a painted stock sport wing, I saw a thread on the aerodynamic profile of an FC and I"m not a wind tunnel genious but people were saying the sport wing is the most beneficial due to low pressure there or something.... i dunno
