The part number for the cadmium plated steel dual alt belt pulley is P-164 (WAI# 24-83100) priced at $4.00

Part description is 3/8 X 2 11/16 X .592 which equal to 10mm belts X approx 68mm OD X 15mm bore.

Double sheave pulley off of an 86 or so 6cyl Chrysler with Mitsubishi alternator. There is more info about this if you search but if that guy was selling a dual pulley for 20$ and making any kind of profit its a good bet it was off some mass produced alternator and not RX7 air pump removal specific.

I'm not sure if its still in stock or not. That info was just copy/paste from a 3rd gen alternator swap thread where they were boring the 15mm inside to 17 to fit the FD alts. I'm curious to know myself if those are still good part #s or the aftermarket parts houses could find them.

i just did a huge google search for the part #..it is a valid part number, but none of the "oem chrysler, dodge, plymouth online parts" websites seem to have that part anymore

now i really want that pulley.

im gonna hitup the junkyard for a 81-87 chrysler, dodge, or plymouth minivan, they used the mitsubishi alternator with the (WAI# 24-83100) dual belt pulley.

probably pick one up for free at the junkyard, sand blast it, then paint it.

If its still a valid number its quite possible dealers may still have them laying around even if they aren't being restocked. I'll make a few calls tomorrow and see if i can come up with any.

Well a nationwide search from a Dodge dealer (he had to look it up by application) came up empty but a quick web search of AI-24-83100 got me ASE Supply (800-289-2737). Called them and the guy said it was still available for $10.42. He said he'd have to order it and would take a few weeks to come in but at least it is still around new. Its very possible to find it cheaper and/or faster delivery i was just checking to see if it was even still around.

are S4 and S5 alt pulleys the same?

atkinsrotary.com sells a pulley for 74-88, and a pulley for 89-91

the reason i ask is because the 74-88, and the 89-91 pulleys have two different part #'s, and the 89-91 pulley is hard coat anodized...so i want that one for my S4 if possible.

It'll be once in a while you'll find it for $25 shipped, but spending $50 shipped isn't bad at all. Just make sure that it's solid. Also run the same belts, lol.

I'm running the known brand duel alternator, looks more beefy. Paided $25 from someone on here, and working out really well right now.

I'm the one who sold him the dual belt pulley. I got it by asking a local alternator shop to source a dual pulley for my FC alternator. I've got an FD alternator with the rotor shaped dual pulley specificly for putting an FD alt on an FC. But I was having trouble with my FD alternator. I was going to go back to my FC alt while I decided what to do about my dying FD alt.

I dropped off my FC alternator with them so they could source a dual pulley for it, they had a pulley for me in a couple days. It ended up sitting unused till I saw 2slow needed one.

My experience is that I'm not a big fan of dual belt pulleys. I've had all kinds of problems getting a pair of belts that will fit evenly. Right now I'm only running one belt on my dual. When I have time I'm going to try a yoohoo belt from Pineapple and having that same local shop source a single belt pulley.

dont get a "yoohoo" belt.

Napa sells really short alternator belts, they are better than a lawnmower "yoohoo" belt.

Part #: NBH257215
Price: $ 8.49
Length: 22 1/8''
Width: 3/8''

all of that info is valid, i called my local napa 6-19-09, they have them in stock, and the Part # is still valid.

if you dont have a napa near by, take the specs and go to any auto parts store that sells belts.

I tried matched pair of Napa belts among others. Right now I have a single belt on my alt and that has worked the best. Adding the yoohoo belt would be some added security over what I have now. I plan to tinker more with it and get to the root of my problems but have been busy and have bigger issues in the form of needing a rebuild. As another member said in another thread, I shouldn't be having as many issues as I'm having with a simple dual belt pulley......Just don't have time to play with my car these last few weeks.

I'm running an atkins pulley, and 2 matching autozone alt belts. I checked 4 belts in the store to find 2 that were the same length. I used to screwdrivers to stretch ghe belts by hand to compare length...worked awesome.
