Is this Bent?

Guys,

Hose (B) is supposed to join Tubes (A) and (C).

However tube (C) seems to be canted toward the front of the car while tube (A) points straight down. If I join the tubes using hose that is not molded (i.e. from the dealer) it puts a kink in the hose that will block passage.

So, can anyone tell me if this pipe has been bent? Do they all sit this way? Why?

If it is bent, I would prefer not to try to bend it back because I don't want it to break off. I also do not remember how it is attached to the engine. Is it a threaded fitting?

I am thinking of just getting a length of 1/4" copper and connecting it at both ends using short lengths of hose.

Anybody have any input or suggestions?

Thanks.

The hose in question carries vacuum to the brake booster, and the dealer says they are not available anymore. So, for now, I just bent and cut a length of copper tubing - joined it using short sections of rubber.

I hope the engine movement is not too much for it.
