WI belt snapping help

So i have a '89 GTUs and it threw 3 outta 4 belts today. i need help figuring out why. To give a some background on what i did to it today; i pulled the power steering belt and a/c belt off. i was gonna remove the a/c belt for auto x this weekend, but then i decided to put it back on. I also tightend the alt belt. i started the car and went to move it out of the garage and i heard a belt sqeel so i stopped and popped the hood and it had just threw the power steering belt off and anapped the a/c belt and air pump belt. so i threw the power steering belt back on and it broke on the way home.

What do you guys think that the problem could be? Did i overtighten the the a/c and powersteering belt and cause them to crack? when the a/c belt snapped did it take out the air pump belt? or worse did i bend the e-shaft or pullies?

Can somebody give me some insight on what might have happend? tomorrow i'm gonna throw on the old belts from what i had on b4 and see if it throws them.

Thanks in advance,

Izzy
