These guys sold my aunt a rebuilt 13b with the front and rear rotor housings swapped. And they arent being very cooperative about taking the motor back for a swap. THey basically told me to get lost....

yeah... I got a front bumper and fender from them. as well as rear view mirror and inside plate for the mirror.
the bumper was all scratched up and had some dents on the bottom. (I figured it was fine because I was going to have it painted). the fender had a few dents. the mirror was more scratched than my stock one... and the plate they gave me was broken AND for the wrong side. I'm probably not going to get something from there again.

I bought a radio surround from them for a first gen. It was all cut up and broken. I couldn't figure out why they would even send it to me. But, at least they didn't hassle me about returning it.

I remember when I was looking for my car seeing a TurboII on Ebay that had work done from them. The car's cat had gotten so hot that it melted the interior dash and console. I wouldn't touch those guys with a ten foot pole.

Shoot, Id call them and tell them why you arent going out to buy from them! When I told them they sold me an incorrectly assembled motor, they didnt even CARE!! Fine, I will rebuild the motor my damn self, no big deal. But dont you think that they would want my reciept number, and date pf purchase so they could figure out where the bad motor came from??

they sent me a ford truck tranny and told me it was a turbo2 one, even the main guy i talked to said he pulled it out i paid 450$ for one and when i sent him pictures of it and told him about the bolt pattern he said i didnt know what i was talking aobut. so i talked to the owner who sent out a fresh tranny for me and paid for shipping both was and gave me some parts even though i did have to wait about 4-5 weeks!!
i will never buy anything from them and would advise people to avoid them

Their service really sucks!!!!..They shouldnt be in business if they treat people that way!..

I have had nothing but good experiences with mazda recycling. I have purchased a N/A 13b motor, turbo rear-end, turbo hood and many smaller parts and have had no problems except for once getting an incorrect starter motor. The last two times I have been there they let me walk with the parts free of charge. The motor I got from them has had no problems what so ever. They even gave me a free set of TII rear axels for free because they gave me incorrect information about the difference between the turbo and nonturbo. they also let me wonder through the yard and pick the parts I want them to remove for me. My personal experiences with them has been very good.

Mazda Recycling in RC, CA
My experience isn't recent, but 4 years ago they sold me a rebuilt NA tranny that lasted 1.5 years and died.
They also quoted me a price on TII swaybars (no mounts) that was higher than NEW RB swaybars!!
Every time I check parts prices there, it seems to be 2/3 retail! I gave up and started getting parts online from SANE people - for some reason, both of the Mazda places in Rancho are just insanely expensive.
I'd rather take a chance on e-bay or The Parts Trader... or buy a parts car!
Oddly enough, I had the same problem with my Z - all the "recyclers" in the area were charging insanely high prices, but I could order cheap parts from recyclers in Texas or other places...

I'm good with these guys....
Guess I have to play the role of the contrarian.
Aside from them being a bit higher in price than local yards (price you pay for specialization I guess), I've had consistantly good experience with these guys. Bought a rebuilt 13B for my '88 Vert about 2 years ago. Once I got the installation bugs worked out, all of which were my fault it turned out, I have had ZERO problems. And, their advice was very helpful in my getting the installation bugs worked out. Engine is still running strong, no hiccups what so ever.
No problem in getting my core charge credited back to my account. No problem ever in returning a part and getting credited back prompltly. And, because they specialize in Mazda, I can almost always count on their having the part I need.
Despite a bumpy road in getting the right stuff, sounds like they belly'd up and made things right with rx7passion.
I'd buy from them again, no problem. Sorry you guys haven't had a similar experience.
