battery uncharging
Hi, bought a RX-7 -86 a week ago.
The problem is that my battery is uncharging.
(when the car isnīt used)
If connected it uncharges the battery in two days.
The battery voltage goes down to 7 V and wonīt
recharge until the voltage has gone up.
When recharging, the Amp starts at about 2 Amps
whitch indicates that the battery isnīt completely
uncharged (the battery is new).
The charging when driving donīt seem to be a problem.
Iīve "solved" the problem by disconnecting the battery
between dirving the car.
Anybody with a good idea?

Take the battery to Auto(who ever) and get it checked. The only thing that could possibly drain the battery on the car is a light or the radio. If those are off then check the battery. Last month I replaced a 2 month old Optima, a few years ago I replaced a 3 day old battery.

yeah that has been happening to me too. One day the battery was just dead, and i didnt leave anything on. I charged it, went for a drive, and it my sub would cut out when i let off the gas. As soon as i started going again it would come back on, obviously when the alternator started turning. So i drove it enough to give it a good charge, and went out again this morning and started it, and it seemed really weak, and turned over real slow. im not sure what the problem is.
