Battery Relocation Box
Hey I'm getting ready to mount my box and was wondering what are good points to mount the box into.
I plan on removing both of my trunk boxes and the rear interior.
Pictures would be good .

One method is to drill holes through the trunk boxes, as illustrated here:

Did you already get a box? There's some $10 battery boxes at Oshman's or any local store that sells marine/boating stuff.

I was thinking about putting a thick piece of rubber between the red-top battery and plastic box to take away some vibration. Like maybe cut up an old tire or something.

If you hold off about a week, I'll show you how I mounted mine. It's going in the storage bin behind the pass seat. I'm using 2 of the factory drain holes (plugs) in the floor and using self taps or rivets to mount to the factory cross brace. I used a very thick velvet type pad that you can get from any hardware store to prevent the battery from touching metal or vibrate. I say horray for not drilling holes through the floor.
