battery question

has anyone here had the Odessey PC680 on their car? does it perform just like any other battery? asking this because i dont have much room in my engine bay since im running a fmic and i dont want to relocate just in case i need a jump. i do not have any electronics in the car other than a turbo timer and boost controller.

The PC680 should work. Anything 500 CCA and more will be fine.

The PC680 is rated at 680 amps for 5 seconds, 595 amps for 10 seconds, and 525 amps for 20 seconds. Cranking power is even higher for the first four seconds. Similar sized lead acid batteries are only rated at 180 - 220 amps.

it'll work, but remember it won't be like a normal battery. I know some people running smaller batteries and if their car doesn't start on the first attempt their battery is spent and they have to get a jump.

you can always relocate the battery and have posts in the engine bay that you can clamp the cables on for a jump. my old bmw was like that stock (it's battery was in the trunk).

or you could just put the jumper cables through the window which I've done on a few occasions

yea i figured the first attempt is the last but i also like that battery posts in the engine bay idea. i might experiment with that. but i always keep a jumper box in the car anyway just in case.
