Battery drain - ROOM fuse
Hi guys,
since I almost completed my project I have problem with my battery. It drains out in a few days. I did the current draw test and found curious result. BTW right now I only did the current draw test on the fuse box in the car (driver side).
Without any fuse removed and the multimeter between negative battery pole and the cable I read .035A which is supposed to be acceptable. However what seems strange is as I connect the multimeter the current goes at .075A for about 5 seconds then goes back to .035A. Is it normal?
I removed each fuse one by one and found that when pulling the ROOM fuse the current stay at a constant .028A. So I guess the problem is on the circuit with the ROOM fuse.
Did anybody have the same problem? Does somebody have idea of what cause the problem?
I did the test with the driver's door open and close, I didn't see any difference in the results. The room light, the one that lights up when opening the door never worked correctly.
My car has a lot of aftermarket stuff: haltech, boost controller, wideband, gauges and stereo. The battery was relocated in the storage bin behind the passager seat. The engine and alternator are 13B-RE.
Thanks for help!
