Battery or alternator trouble?

I was driving home from work and around my work theres a lot of hills so I pull my ebrake up gas a bit so it picks up and put the ebrake down the car idles very fast than goes back to normal except all my emergency lights are on "Hatch, Doors, Add Coolant, Charge Battery, Oil Level etc" Im scared shitless so I pull over, and havent figured out the problem yet, I keep driving and basically notice when I press gas my battery voltage goes all the way up and the emergency lights come on then when I press the brake voltage goes back down to normal (about 13) and emergency lights shut off, I noticed my battery is leaking so thats getting exchanged no matter what but could the leaking battery have messed uo my alternator, if so whats a site I can get a new one and how much?

hmm, the battery "leaking" might have to be due to the fact that your alternator is over charging your system. Causing the battery to boil. It would probably be your voltage regulator. You dont have to buy a whole new one. Just get your alternator rebuilt.

If it over boiled only once just try and recharge it see if the car will still start up...

Maybe get your battery test. They will charge it for you and then they will do a test.....they will put a load on the battery to simulate the car starting up. If it goes below 9.5 amps your battery has had it. Try and fic your current battery. They can take quite a beating!!!

It will save you 75$

Yes, good thinking. Take your alternator off and bring it to an electrical/starter place
