BAP , Bigger lines , or New fuel pump ?

Starting to run out of fuel...what would u do?

I have a walbro 255 with a rewire(from the haltec) and stock fuel lines with 1000cc primaries and 1680 sec. injectors with a aeromotive fpr on the way.

A. "Boost a pump"

B. upgrade lines n filter

c. add a inline walbro to stock set up.

I understand that the lines are reponsible for most of the pressure drop. Can 3/8" mount to the stock fuel rail and filter?

I'm kinda leaning tward the BAP and just replacing some of the 5/16 rubber?
+25% is the goal.

Youre running out of fuel?

Your best bet is going to be a fat Aeromotive pump and run the lines all the way up to the rails.

From what ive heard the Boost-A-Pump isnt worth squat.

Only idiots who don't know what they are talking about claim this kinda bullshit.
I've been using one for years.
So has boosted1205...in fact, he was the first one to run one on an FC down here, and I followed his lead.

It works as long as the fuel pump sees "full voltage" when the fuel pump resistor circuit switches, or your voltage to the fuel pump is at least 10.0VDC.
I say this cause recently I found out my piece-of-crap fuel pump resistor circuit was not working; replacing just the relay still wasn't enough, and the voltage was floating *BELOW* 10.0VDC.
Even with the engine boosting into + boost, it would switch intermittently - more not than on.
The Boost-A-Pump worked fine before when I didn't have these stupid low-voltage problems.
I've run it on a Walbro for years without problems.
I used to run it on the stock ND fuel pump for years without problems.

MSD also has their version of a stepping voltage regulator for the fuel pump.
Aeromotive also has their own box too.

Good to hear u have had luck with it(for what is capable of anyway).RETed
I just ordered the Kenne Bell BAP.
After figuring out that I have overrun any charted flow of the walbro at 13.5 volts I could find.
I hope to learn more about it's limits with a fuel gauge too.
If it gives me 15-20% more, I'm sold.

So are you using a BAP unit in place of rewiring the fuel pump or inconjunction with it?

I used it without rewiring, but after running into my current headaches with low voltage, I'd highly recommend to rewire the fuel pump power line also.

Cool

I have a +12g rewire.

I plan to up it to a -8g and a +8g and add the BAP.

I put in a temporary fuel pressure gauge.....My fpr is getting over run with as much as 46psi on a decell and 42 at idle. Now I know y I get bad gas mpg.
On 15 psi it shoots to about 52 then falls off and starts to jump around mid 40's.

I wonder y it jumps?

The car goes into convultions too. I see a 10.5afr.

Maybe it is too rich and losing signal to the fpr or lower pressures are not atomizing the fuel.

I'd like to think that at 40+psi it should still be ok but, time to back off.

Best to get the pump working better first then re-tune with a better afr.

My goal is to have it stay a solid 52+ psi under boost all day long.

Driving around at 8 psi feels like it's busted.

The new aeromotive fuel pr is great, I now haw static at 40 and boost +1/1
with 30ish at idle.
Much better mpg too.

My Keene bell BAP order was canceled because they will not do buisiness with any internet company like horsepower freaks....dam.

Rxtasy got the last one.

I wonder if there is a bigger pump I can get and keep it simple?
