Bank Ordering

I decided to tune up my rx7 (first time working on a car) I took out the wires and plugs but did not write down which coil went where. they are labelled 1/2 on the leading and trailing coils but I dont know which one goes where. Is #1 in the front of the car (closest to nose) or is #1 in the back (closest to the firewall)?

Thankyou

I figured since 40+ people wouldnt answer the last guys post I would see what kinda response I got - since no one answers questions I will now answer my own quesiton:

Here is an easy way to remember which wires go to which plugs.

Start counting from the front of the engine to the back. The front rotor is 1, the back rotor is 2.

The TOP plug is T. The LOWER plug is L.

So looking at the plug side of the engine you have.

T1 T2
L1 L2

Just a simple tip to make hooking those plug wires back up a snap!

Perhaps since it has been covered many times (Much like your question in this post) and no one wanted to use the search function found in the upper right hand corner of this page???

BTW:

Bottom plugs are leading and can be swapped since the coil fires both leading plugs at the same time.

But an easy way to tell for trailing (or top plugs) since it does matter; is the white dot on the coil output is for the front rotor and no dot is the rear.

*edit

See the white dots????
