bad smoking at high rpm

hi everyone, i have a 89 gxl s5 non turbo and when i get on the pedal it starts to smoke real bad but only around 5500rpm and above. when im just driving normally no smoke at all. I have raching beat street headers , test pipe and than a test pipe back racing beat exhaust. Is it normal for it to smoke a lot with no cats? My goal was for it to shoot fire (:

check your oil pressure at 5500rpms it might be to high from some reason. a oil seal might be leaking from to much pressure

Mine only smokes if I bang it on the rev limiter, and when I do it blows shocking amounts of blue smoke. I can run it right up to the limiter (~7800RPM) and there is no smoke at all, but when the limiter kicks in the smoke starts pouring out. I thought perhaps it was an overactive OMP. RB downpipe / presilencer here too, with a custom catback.

Yeah, just oil control rings wearing out. Mine does it above ~4500rpm. Not a big deal as long as you keep oil in it, just consider it extra lubrication.
