bad radiator prob...need advice

well, my radiator has been leaking from the top so the sensor on the top of the stock radiator keeps telling me that i need to add coolant and that loud buzzing sound irritates the hell outa me. Is there anything else electrical i need to know before i take the old radiator out and put in a new one. Is it just the sensor on the top of the radiator or is there something else on the bottom. I wanna know what to expect...replys?

Replacing the radiator is easy; I replaced my radiator a few weeks ago. The only connections to the radiator are the main top and bottom hoses, a heater hose, and the said level sensor.

You can order a new radiator at your local auto parts store. While you are at it, you might want to buy the better screw-type hose clamps.

After you put the new radiator in and test it, check for leaks at the heater hoses at the rear of the engine. I have replaced radiators in two different cars, and both times the heater hoses started leaking after the install.

If applicable, the temp sensor switch at the bottom left corner could also be considered "electrical". It doesn't actually come in physical contact with the coolant, however...

Its applicable. Its part of the AWS system, and all cars have it.

I have a feeling it's signal (which is just a volt or no volt signal) is used for more than just the AWS, but I don't have all the info together to post a thesis yet...It's a strong hunch at this point

Did you get your car all fixed up, Rat?
