BAD hesatation at 5200, poor idle
What should it be at wot... my friends 87 is having problems... he was driving and the next thing he knew it was running like crap... sputtering like it wasnt gettin fuel and won't build boost.. half throttle its fine but as soon as you give it more to build boost it just sputters and bogs then it will boost for a split second then start sputtering again

You measure the resistance of your tps at wide open throttle but really you turn your car to the on position and ohm out the tps and it should read 4k ohms and 1k at idle
Oh yeah dammit i too am having this same problem and its pissing me off it feels about as bad as the 3800 hesitation just at 5.5 to 6k and then it starts pulling again
um.. this may sound like a cop-out solution, but is your 6pi working? i dont even know many details about this 6port induction because i have a T2, but i know that they open around that time (5500 rpms) just a thought...
i wish i could say i had that um cough "crap" cough but i dont have jack i ran premix for a while but i dont think dirty injectors are the problem it seems to be an electronic problem any ideas
This is a strech here but Make sure your two acv lines are connected. The ones next to the tps somewere. then reset the ecu or something. Sometimes something changes and makes the ecu go crazy until you reset it. Pull the negitive then tap the brake 10 times then hold it for 30 seconds. Wait 15 minutes and it should be ready to go. This is not exactly the procedure but it works for me.
One day I disconected that acv port and split connector things or whatever they are , wile the car was idling. I took it for a spin and the car would hesitate badly around 4k all the way up... I connected them back on and the ecu never adjusted itself so it kept doing it until I reset the ECU. Give it a try . wouldnt hurt I guess.

No thats been done, i will check the TPS tonight and reset the ECU. Any more sugg? I lover her but if it does not start behaving i will have to sell

i had this problem, when i first bought my car, the problem was the when i was boosting, the pressure from the boost was too much for the "pressure sensor" and caused it to bog, because it bogged from pressure, i bought a two tees to ease the boost, and yes, there is suppose to be a restrictor already in the vaccum line that connects the pressure sensor to intake manifold, about one inch away from manifold, but mines didn't have it so i made my own and whola, no more bucking.
This is for Turbo 87, i don't know about N/A's though.
