Bad Clutch or Oil Leak?

Bad Clutch or Oil Leak?

OK, I'm Confused (Situation Normal!)

Since getting some mods on my S4 'vert (s5 Turbo, Injectors, Haltech F9, K&N CAI) my clutch has been slipping under boost in 3rd gear and up.

Strange thing is that I took her out for a couple of hours last night (figuring that I had to replace the clutch anywqay, so no harm done), and the more I drive her, the better the clutch performed.

So, I'm wondering if maybe instead of a bad clutch, I have some oil leaking onto the pressure plate (which burned off the more I drove).. I do get a few oil drips under the car when I park her, but haven't tried to track down where from yet...

Is this a common problem? If it's a rear seal leaking, can it be fixed without pulling the motor down (he says hopefully!)

Could be a leak of hydro fluid at the clutch slave cylinder or the flex hose on the bell-housing - check your clutch fluid level - could work it's way down onto the clutch plate.
