I just got my 'new' Rx-7 the other day and it has its minor quarks, but nothing major. The hood opened and closed fine today as I went from cleaning and inspection the engine and whatnot. But tonight I went out and it feels like the cable has no tension on it and that it came disconnected somehow. How am i going to get the hood open, is there someway to reach up from underneath?

 

Sorry, but thanks for the laugh! I thought I had that happen once, but it wasn't fully latched, even though it looked like it. Try pulling it open, open your headlights if you cant get a good enough grip on it.

 

i fixed it! i was crawling around under the dash and grabbed the hood release cable and pulled it as hard as i could (i know, a brilliant idea in itself haha). but to my suprise it actually worked! so now i have to find out what caused it so i can fix it.
