AVC-R and S-AFC problems
OK. I bought an AVC-R and S-AFC and installed them on Friday. Everything was working fine and we were tuning then when we lost all power. First the AVC-R blinked in and out then the car died. The next day( last night) we went back and tried to figure out what we did wrong. We checked the vacuum hoses and we have no problems. The car won't turn on, and neither do the Apex-i units, the buttons are on dimmly but the screens don't light up. I am lost. The wiring is done right along with the hosing, so at this time I'm stumped. My mechanic buddy unplugged the units and jumped a wire so it is back to "stock" fuel which allows me to drive it. Anyone out there know what it going on. I bought them used off a buddy so I have no receipts. Can anyone help?

start checking the fuses. I would say you may have a bad connection on the 12V you tapped to power the apex-i units which is also the 12V used to power the ECU.
Needless to say if your ECU isn't getting 12V you aren't going anywhere.
Did you solder and heatshrink/tape everything up? Solder is important. If you use dinky wire taps you will get dinky results.
