auxilary shaft actuator stuck
Well I did the test where u put a bit of grease on the end of the rod of the actuator for the auxilary shaft and one moved (the grease moved down the shaft) the other did not ( on the firewall side)
is there a way to greas these with them on the car or does it need to be replaced?
also just curious should I be able to put the rod in the actuator by hand?

you should be able to move it by hand, it's a little harder on the front one because of the angle. if the rotating tube is stuck, then you'll probably have to take the LIM off to free it.

so does this just unbolt if I have to remove it?
and is it safe to say that if one is workign then there is no vacuum leak possibly causing this one to not open?
I know I tried to puch it in and was unable to so I may have to remove it to free it up
either way I was thinking I may not be getting my full power at upper RPM's

Take the actuator off and make sure its the actuator and not the sleeve. If its the actuator, just get some grease or penetrating oil and move it around to see if you can get it to work better. Also, you can test if they work by blowing into the tube that supplys the air. If they are working properly, you can open them by blowing in that tube.

no the actuator is fine the part that is stuck is the arm connected to the motor.. that will not move but mayb 1/16" it will not fully close or open (I dont think it is fully open that is but I know it is not fully closed)
the actuator was removed and moves freely

then I will have to re-align it right?
or does it only go in and out one way?
another question is IF that port is halfway opened and the other is operating fine. what will be the pros and cons if any?
should I really worry about it am I loosing any power at all anywhere in the rpm range?
im not worried about fuel consumption

Well, there can be two ways to put it in that will work. Just make sure that the opening is pointing the same way when you put it in as when you took it out. I'm not sure if its bad for the engine to have one stuck. You are going to be getting different power from the two rotors, which probably isn't a good thing.

oh each one work a different rotor?
so all I have to do is remove the 2 screws (phillips head screws) and pull it out clean it up andthen install it back in the same way?

No, you have to remove the entire lower intake manifold. The thing that is held on with the screws is connected to a sleeve that sits inside the side housing of the engine and rotates. I'll try to get a pic of it.
(you can IM me now, I was out snapping some pics)

Here's a pic of the lim when its off. The top is facing out, the one on the bottom is the part thats against the engine. The two circled parts are connected and move together.

The thing that circled in red above connects up to the thing that is circled below. That is the sleeve - it's what is stuck.

This is what they look like when removed:

well I have been spraying the arm with pb blaster and hitting it with a hapmmer lightly to try and break it loose and I got a little play in it now (1/16") but I want to get full movement back into it maybe I will keep working on it by spraying it down a few times a day for a week and give it a couple taps every couple times
