Aux. port sleeves and streetporting?

I bought my S5 Coupe with a streetport already done on it. I was planning on just converting my aux ports to fully electronically controlled. But, I saw fc3s.org suggest I clean my aux port sleeves while I'm at it. So, I take off the intake manifold... and guess what... I don't have any aux. port sleeves (or rods to rotate them). I originally thought that maybe whoever did the streetport just combined the aux and secondary ports into one port and took out the sleeves and rods (the actuators are still there).

But, this morning I looked down the secondary and aux port hole thingies in the block with a small mirror and a flashlight and I see that they are in fact still 2 seperate ports. So, now I am thinking that A) The previous owner wanted the sleeves to remain open for more power in the high end (which I know doesn't improve the high end and just hurts the low end) or B) The ports in the sleeves are too small in relation to the housings' ports and instead of giving the sleeves bigger ports, they just took it out. or C) Both A & B. But these are all just theories... and I was just guessing on B.

Could the sleeves' ports get smaller than streetported ports in the housing?

Of course, now I have a bunch of parts lying around for the electric aux ports & VDI (the VDI seems to be working fine). Kinda glad I decided to clean my non-existing sleeves, or else I would have set it up for these electric air pumps to open nothing, and I wouldn't have known. So, I don't know whether I should buy some sleeves and rods off a parts car and port them if I have to... or what?

Thanks for your help.

Theres anot of freaking irony in me bringing this up:

Why are you going to go e-activated ports? Better have a damn good reason.

Icemark will be the first to back me up on this-- he knows from other people's stupidity, and I know it from my own.

The sleeve could be smaller than the hole it goes into if they went to polish the port runner and took enough material off. Only way to tell is to get another port sleeve and put it in the hole to see how it fits.

I'm not sure how the S5 lower intake is, but on the S4, I'm pretty sure the rods for the sleeves are part of the lower intake. Easier to just replace the whole thing.

I thought they were the same ed? The sleeves just side into the port. They are seperate from the LIM itself. The rod that does perpendicular to the output shaft that connects the actuator to the sleeve is part of the LIM however.

The sleeves on the s4 just slide in or out, they are not part of the LIM.

I'ts possible he ported the aux port runner thus not letting the sleeves fit. Most likly thow you can just go get soem sleeves and put them in, it would be hard to port the aux por a whole lot bigger then the sleeve opening. If you de ide to port the sleeve, dont port the top edge, thats the sealing edge. You will get slightly more flow with them out because of the ID of the aux port vs. the ID of the aux port runner, but it's very small.
