Automater Temp Gauge

Automater Temp Gauge

has anyone ever installed one of these temp gauges. i don't know what to do since the stock sender is so much smaller than the upgrade. any ideas??

Yeah, I have done the water and oil temp. ones. For the water temp I drilled a hole before the thermostat and tapped it. Works great.

For the oil temp I got the adapter plate from racing beat. www.mazdatrix.com

I believe you may need to keep the factor sensor. Not sure though.

I did the same thing, I put the oil pressure/temp adapter plate on (goes under the oil filter), and drilled/tapped a hole in the waterpump housing for the water temp sensor.

well, i thought about drilling and tapping the water pump hole but i was really looking to get the temperature at the block because i am sure that the temp between the block and the water pump is different. thanks though.

if you look on the drivers side of the front and rear housing you will see a plug. remove it and install your gauge there with the appropriate npt adapter.

You want it in the water pump housing just below the thermostat.

is the the hole that is in the top of the water pump by the radiator cap?
