Auto Tranny Removal: (part of 5sd swap). PING SONiCRAT

Hey all.

Well, I spent a few hours today. Removed the tranny cooler lines, and torque converter bolts. Than removed engine tranny mount bolts, and then removed tranny mounts.

Now the tranny is on cinderblock in the middle of the driveway.

Woo!
I've got the TB and DC off, and UIM loose, but not off. I'm hopinh to get the aux port actuators working correctly. Who knows how long its been.

I have about 30 hose ends, who knows where they go? Its tempting just to rip out the air pump and wire the 6ports, just because its a pain in the *** to find homes for all these hoses. I hope to do the TB mod since I've got all this stuff off too.

I've already got about 10 random bolts/studs that I need to take to NAPA and get replacements for. Many rounded off, ect. I'd like just to get replacements for them.

I'll keep you all informed.

Been awhile since I've heard from SonicRat, last I heard he was checking up on the shipping destination of the driveline parts, but it appears he hasn't been online for a few days. Hopefuly he will get back to me soon so I can arange the pickup and get this 5spd swap moving.

Can't wait to drive a 5spd rx-7!

Later all

Kent
