I'm going to see my friend that owns a Dyno shop. Figure I might as well see what the Rex is putting down.
Since its an Auto, I need to know which gear is closest to 1:1 to get the most accurate #'s out of it.

Also, any tips for dynoing with an auto? I know all about doing it in my GTP properly, just not real sure on this one. Can I hold it in a gear? Any way to manually prevent the kick-down to a lower gear?

You can stay in any gear, just shift it to 1, 2, D (3), and OD (4).

 

Gear Ratio's, anyone?

 

I belive your 3rd gear is a 1.0 ratio.

3rd is a 1:1. Just keep your hold button on and it should prevent it from going into overdrive or kicking down.

 

OD is .720:1.

Yeah, the hold button. The button on your shifter that engages the "hold" light on your dash? You do have one right?

Now, I may be totally missing it, but, no. Its an S4, I have an overdrive switch, and thats it.
I'll just kick of the O/D and determine the kick-down RPM on the road. Then I'll just have him dyno it from that RPM up so it doesn't kick-down.
