Audible warning sound & clutch
I have this annoying warning buzzer come on when I'm driving. Seems to come on after I release the clutch and I'm driving. Happens sometimes while I'm in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, but most notably in 4th. Not in 5th.
I'm guessing its a clutch switch but not sure which one (upper or lower)? And why is there a warning sound for this?
Thanks

Mine goes off way below redline. I can drive 40mph and this buzzer is blasting out this loud noise. I checked all gauges and they look nominal. The noise has something to do with the clutch engagement because when I press the clutch down it goes off?
There are mutiple buzzers in a FC, but none related to the clutch. Are you sure that its not the drop in RPMs, that is stopping the buzzer???
I would quess low oil first. Have you checked your oil level and coolant levels???(not the gauges, but the actual levels under the hood)

It sounds like a low coolant buzzer, but I check fluids weekly and they are ok. Oil full and coolant are too. Gauges look normal too. It sure seems when I depress the clutch it goes off.
I'll go for a ride and see if it is the rpm dropping. What would cause that if thats the case? What would need replacing?

well you would need to bleed the coolant system, or fill the oil system. I suppose it is alos possible that you have an intermittent broken wire, but that would be very unlikely.
It could also be a mis-adjusted over rev warning on the tach. If it is coming on exactly at the same RPM every single time then I would look at that (but it is very rare to have happen- maybe 1 in 10000).

Well, I took it for three rides around the block while I was doing the timing:
1. Ride #1 no buzzer
2. Ride #2 no buzzer
3. Ride #3 the buzzer was back in full force. It comes on in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, but not in Nuetral or 5th. Goes off when I press in the clutch. When it did come on it was between around 1000-2500 rpm. No warning lights on dash but they do come on as they are suppose to when ign is on.
Coolant is bled. I changed it in Oct and bled it then. Oil is always full.
Oh well, eventually it will burn out. Thanks for your help...........

For testing, I would unlug and then ground the coolant sensor wire. If it is still doing it, re-hook up the coolant sensor and ground the oil level sender wire.
If it stops on either of those two, then on the case of the coolant sensor, you need to re-bleed the system (do you hear any air bubbles when you squeeze the top radiator line when cold???) or replace the oil pressure sensor (if grounding the wire solved that).
But only ground one at a time.

I knew that. I was brain-dead when I asked where the oil level sensor was. After I posted that I thought 'Doh'. I did go thru the bleeding of of the coolant just to double make sure it was bled. It was. Buzzer stll loud and clear. Wierd how buzzer noise quits when I engage the clutch pedal. Ran out of time today to do anymore.

Icemark, I didnt miss those things. Just wondering best way to go about it. Was working other stuff and wanted to finish first.
I did squeeze the hose-no bubbles
