ATTN FC Wiring gurus!

I have in my possession an 89 GXL and a 90 GTU. The GTU is done for. I'm using the GXL. I bought the GXL as a shell to swap all of my stuff into. While putting my clutch and brake pedals in, I noticed that there were some questionable wires in the body harness. The insulation crumbled when I touched it. So I figured I would just swap harnesses and be on my merry way to finally completing the car. (Still have a ton of work to do) But now that I've done that, I seem to be missing a few plugs. I know that the GTU has less options, but kind of figured all of the harnesses would be the same just with the option plugs taped back. Ya know, like every other auto manufacturer in the world. It seems I'm wrong unless I just can't see them at the moment. (The dash is already back in on top of them. Maybe they're hiding somewhere under it.) All of the missing plugs should go somewhere around the Fuse Box in the Kick Panel.

I suppose the my question would be, Can I even use the GTU harness on the GXL car or do I need to procure a GXL harness for everything to work? Or am I just missing something. I'm thinking I need a GXL harness.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Steve.

So, I have done a little more poking around. I have found where 5 of the missing 7 plugs go. (4 of which I just didn't account for because the cluster surround is still off. They go to the Hazard switch, Headlights, Indicators...) The other big green connector that is going to the rear of the car, (the plug that this goes to normally is on the fuse box along with the other big green plug and a white plug) I believe goes to the rear wiper and other random stuff that is not needed since I'm using my GTU's wiperless hatch. I'll post pics probably tonight. I still have at least one plug unaccounted for....

Found all of the plugs. The only one that isn't being used is the one green one that I'm assuming goes to the wiper motor and whatnot. Thanks.

There's a very good page in the S5 wiring diagram that shows 'common' connectors, you could use that and the wire colors to determine what exactly the connector is for if you need.
