ATF trick question
Hi all. I was planning on doing the ATF thing to my 86 this weekend, being that it has 120k on it, and just wondered if I should disconnect my exhaust? I have like $750 into my exhaust system, and really dont wanna fruck anything up. I also dont really fell like taking it off if it isnt necessary, so I thought Id ask you guys first. Will this harm the cat or muffflers or anything, or am I ok. Thanks.:p

I've heard that ATF will harm you cats...... try MMO... it won't bother your cats. MMO is designed to burn off unlike ATF. Do a search of the forum "ATF trick" or something like that. You should find answers in the search.

I've tried Marvel Mystery Oil before for this trick, it sucks. It did NOT do the job. I had to go back and redo it with ATF. If you are worried about your exhaust, just disconnect it. Use ATF, do it right.
